Big bird

Finally, spring is here!

I’ve been in dire need of some walking outdoors at my favorite park.

I had a sweet time there with my middle daughter today. We were surprised to see that a Blue Heron came to visit.  Sometimes we see a White Egret, but the last time the Blue Heron came to visit, it was too dark to get any good pictures.

Daughter noticed that the bird’s knees bent backwards.

I love them when they are in flight.

Their wingspan is enormous (about 3 to 4.5 feet).

I really need to learn how to use my camera, because I just guess at it right now.

He just came in for a landing.

I was very much touched to see this pigeon share its fish dinner with another pigeon.

And I realized this art sculpture is now weathering to a green patina.

Daughter and I enjoyed our mommy and me time together.  It’s been so nice to get out and forget some of the troubles I’ve had lately.
