My favorite gift I’d ever given.

I wanted to share one of the presents I gave my mother for Christmas.  I took one of my photographs I made and enlarged it to 8×10 size.  Then I matted it in green and then framed it with a pretty white frame.

I really think this was one of the nicest gifts I’d ever given anyone.

I’m really quite pleased with how it turned out.  My mother liked it too.

My sister suggested I might frame and sell some of my photographs at craft fairs.  I never thought of that before, but think that actually might be a very cool way to share my work and earn a little bit of money.

I’ll give that some serious thought because I know there is an art fair in the local arboretum in May and there is also a local farmer’s market where people come to sell their harvest as well as crafts.

This is what I made my mother last year for Christmas.  It was a mixed media piece with acrylics, stamps, stickers, scrapbooking papers, metal embellishments, scrabble pieces, and lace on a wood ‘canvas’ (they sometimes call it cradle board).

I think that would be a fun thing to do…make and sell my artwork and photography.  I really need to bring in more income and this would be a really fun way to do that.
