I dislike getting stuck on my art projects, but that’s what I am – stuck. It’s actually quite a frequent phenomenon in my art-making. I usually have about three or four projects halfway completed because I just get to a point where I’m stuck and I haven’t figured out how to proceed, or I’m missing that one element or that one quote or that one word that would tie it all together. And I can’t find the right skeleton key (I have three different kinds, none of which really work well).
So…now, I’m stuck.
But I wanted to show of one of my works-in-progress:
It’s a combination of metal elements, paper, acrylic paint and stamps in a sort of vaguely steampunk-ish/travel style on wood canvas (also called “cradle board” for some reason…I think).
And I’m stuck. I can’t even come up with a unifying theme, a title or even a inspiring quote to use.
Don’t know what steampunk is? I’ll tell you what it’s not.
